Your crowd, Jack! Yours and his

On 12 June 2008, the UK’s Justice Minister, Jack Straw, penned the article, Once the British were the Biggest Drug Dealers in World in The Lancashire Evening Telegraph.

This is it:

"Do you know the story about a great nation which for centuries made millions from the trade in heroin and opium, and when another weaker nation tried to stop this trade and the damage it was causing to its people? It's a tale worth knowing. For the weaker nation was China, and the great nation was us - the United Kingdom.

Moreover, it was WE, the Dutch and the Portuguese who ensured that opiates moved from being an addiction of just a few in the area of its localised production to an addiction of many across the globe.

I'm not proud of this story, and NONE OF US SHOULD BE. But the story needs to better known. Not least to give the lie to the disgraceful untruths in a recent leaflet of the BNP circulating in Lancashire. The leaflet claims that ‘Muslims are responsible for the heroin trade’, and goes on with a brazen disregard for anything approaching the truth to assert that ‘Before the Islamic invasion, it was almost impossible to find heroin in our land’.

In the nineteenth century, here in England, opium was freely and lawfully available in liquid form as ‘Laudanum’…

At the time you could probably count the number of those of the Muslim faith here in the UK on one hand…

The British East India Company was - until 1858 and what we call the ‘Indian Mutiny’ and Indians call the ‘first War of Independence’ effectively the British Government in India... By 1793 the Company established - and enforced - a monopoly on the opium trade. Poppy growers in India were forbidden to sell opium to competitors, and began to make big profits from selling it into China.

By 1839 Chinese rulers became alarmed at the extent of the addiction of its people. All foreign traders were ordered to surrender their opium. Our response was to send warships to enforce the trade.

The ‘First Opium War’ began. We won it, and not only extracted a large indemnity from the Chinese, but they also had to cede Hong Kong to us. But China tried to stop the trade again in 1856... The Second Opium War ended just like the First. China had to pay another indemnity, and had to legalise the importation of opium.

For us at the time, this was a no-brainer. Not only was the trade itself highly profitable, but it brought in millions in taxes too to the British Exchequer. The trade directly benefited cotton textile areas like East Lancashire…

There were times during the Cold War, and since, when some western intelligence agencies, for the ‘greater good’, did deals with drug war lords in parts of Asia.

So the BNP claims have no foundation at all. If the BNP have to resort to such blatant fabrication they must really be desperate."
Ah, the old PC trick of trying to get the long-suffering British people to feel guilty for things they never did.

The evils done by the British elite of those times were never done by those Jack Straw now seeks to shame. In the 1800s, a minority of greedy capitalists and their allies in government (ring any belles?) reaped huge profits from the drugs trade. The British working-classes had no idea what the animals at the top of the tree were up to, just as they have no idea now.

As things stand in 2008, the BNP are, actually, telling the truth. Their leaflet did not try to convince us that Muslims were to blame for the distribution of drugs in the 1800s, it told us that they are predominantly responsible for it’s production and distribution RIGHT NOW!

To be fair I must admit that the Muslim Ayatollahs of the Taliban had almost eradicated the Afghan poppy crop before Bush and Blair (and all of the on-message Jack Straw types) launched their great Muslim-bashing adventure in 2001.

In October 2001, Tony B Liar told this whopper:

"The biggest drugs hoard in the world is in Afghanistan, controlled by the Taliban. Ninety per cent of the heroin on British streets originates in Afghanistan. The arms the Taliban are buying today are paid for with the lives of young British people buying their drugs on British streets."
In July 2003, he told another:

"If Afghanistan needs more troops from the international community to police outside Kabul, our duty is to get them... Let us help them eradicate their dependency on the poppy, the crop whose wicked residue turns up on the streets of Britain as heroin to destroy young British lives, as much as their harvest warps the lives of Afghans."
Here are the facts of the matter: in 2000, the Taliban banned the growing of opium poppies. In 2001, UN observers reported that the crop had been practically wiped out. However, since Bush and Blair invaded Afghanistan opium production has increased 20-fold. Between 90 and 98 per cent of the heroin consumed in Britain and Europe now originates in Afghanistan.

These statistics were true in 2005 when I first wrote the above. I shouldn’t think they’d be too different now. Anyway, the heroin finding its way onto our streets has increased by staggering amounts since the Afghan war began and, once the drug arrives, Asian gangs are, primarily responsible for its distribution.

For Jack Straw to try to pretend that this is not so, thereby putting the nation’s health at risk, is disgusting. That he does this to shore up the vote of one of his most supportive constituencies is sick beyond belief.

Seeing as our Justice Minister (justice, that's a laugh) has been trawling bygone times for the evil doings of the movers and shakers (Justice Minister types) of the past, I thought I'd introduce you to a few bits of history that he would NOT want you to know.

Now we are all aware that Jack is a bit of an unreconstructed commie, just as we know that the Jewish gentleman, Karl Marx, (to whom our Jack may be distantly related) published The Communist Manifesto in 1848.

Well, five years later, in a July 22, 1853 article in The New York Daily Tribune, Mr Marx eulogised the behaviour of the top Brit in China thus:

"Whatever be the social causes... that have brought about the chronic rebellions subsisting in China for about ten years past... the occasion of this outbreak has unquestionably been afforded by the English cannon forcing upon China that soporific drug called opium.

Before the British arms the authority of the Manchu dynasty fell to pieces; the superstitious faith in the Eternity of the Celestial Empire broke down; the barbarous and hermetic isolation from the civilized world was infringed; and an opening was made for that intercourse which has since proceeded so rapidly under the golden attractions of California and Australia...

It would seem as though history had first to make this whole people drunk before it could rouse them out of their hereditary stupidity."
What a nice guy that Karl Marx was, eh?

I bet a good few of those whom Blair and Brown appointed to high office wouldn’t want us to know what their hero thought about the slitty-eyed folk, eh Jack?

Here's another bit of hidden history. Writing home, an American businessman named Warren Delano, told his family that, although he could not pretend to justify the opium trade on moral grounds, 'as a merchant I insist it has been fair, honorable and legitimate.'

Warren Delano returned to America rich. He would later see his daughter, Sara, married to a wellborn neighbour, James Roosevelt. The Chinese opium dealer was, thus, the grandfather of US President, Franklin D. Roosevelt.

I bet you don't have too many unkind words to say about FDR or his forbears, now do you, Jack? You chose your Brit-bashing history carefully. You did so in order to confuse and embarrass the decent British majority who never had anything to do with the despicable behaviours of the upper crust businessmen and politicians of that day and age. And, of course, to distract from the reprehensible behaviours of the immigrant criminals of our own day and age.

As for this: 'In the nineteenth century, here in England, opium was freely and lawfully available in liquid form as Laudanum.' Well yes, Jack. I should imagine that THEY were just as happy back then to keep the British masses as stoned out of their tiny minds as THEY were to keep the Chinese masses 'drunk' and 'stupid.' In other words, I should imagine that THEY were just as happy to keep us as drugged up and dumbed-down THEN as THEY are keeping us drugged up and dumbed-down NOW.

A brutal, conscienceless British business and governmental elite forced these drugs upon the Chinese people and encouraged our own to partake similarly in the 19th century. You, yourself, are now very much a part the brutal, conscienceless elite that has, behind the scenes, encouraged huge numbers of British people to become addicted to opium derivatives in the twentieth century!

During the Cold War, and since, when some western intelligence agencies, for the ‘greater good’, did deals with drug war lords in parts of Asia. Says our oh-so sanctimonious Justice Minister. So, come on, you whistle-blower, you!

Tell us their names! Name these 'western intelligence agencies!' Name those within the governmental structures of the Western world who were responsible for this massive criminality! We are talking CIA, aren’t we Jack?

Are you really in the business of telling tales on those you and yours are so closely involved with? We don’t think so, do we Jack? That’s why you were canny enough not to tell us who these "western intelligence agencies" were. After all, if you tell on them, THEY might tell on you.

Those who might do the telling would include such notables as former President George Bush, who was once the head of the CIA. Bush senior is, of course, the daddy of Bush junior, Tony Blair’s best pal.

And then there would be George Tenet, the CIA Director who ushered into the second invasion of Iraq with phoney WMD claims. And his predecessor, John Deutch, whom John Millis, the executive director of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence of the House of Congress (and a former CIA officer) proclaimed the worst ever CIA Chief.

Both were Bill Clinton appointees. Deutch was Jewish. As were 51 per cent of Clinton's appointments to the upper echelons of his government. Which isn’t quite fair when you are apprised of the fact that Jewish folk constitute no more than 2 per cent of the US population. Clinton was the Governor of Arkansas when the Mena airport in Little Rock was described as the 'hub' of the CIA drugs and guns pipeline from and to South America.

Hey Jack, do you remember how you cheered and clapped, along with the rest, at the New Labour Conference in October 2002? When Bill Clinton made a surprise appearance? Do you remember him saying:

"It's fun to be in a place where our crowd is still in office."
That would be 'our crowd' as in your crowd, Jack. Yours and his.

Check out Into The Clintons' CIA Drug Nexus by Susan Mazur, The Real Drug Lords: A brief history of CIA involvement in the Drug Trade, by William Blum and The CIA, America's Premier International Terrorist Organization.

As is said on this latter page:

"The ‘Agency’ is… the active force that puts the plans and schemes of the most powerful Wall Street, armaments and oil interests into operation. Within the CIA the lines between the state and private, corporate power are totally blurred, in fact have melded into one…

The CIA's operational directorate, in other words that's their covert operations, para-military, dirty tricks — call it whatever you want — has for at least 40 years that we can document paid for a significant amount of its work through the sales of heroin and cocaine."
You might also want to take a look at by William Cooper’s, The CIA’s Role in the Attack upon America!

Now are you telling us that you are happy for all of this to be known, Jack? I mean, you and yours have cuddled up notably with many of the monsters cited in these exposés and you are related by blood to creatures like Deutch.

I think the tale told in The Lancashire Evening Telegraph was told for the 'greater good.' For the greater good of the Jack Straws and the non-indigenous constituency that votes them into power. And keeps them there.

The tale was not told out of concern for us.
