The Neoconservatives

In precisely the same way that the term 'oligarch' is a euphemism which the media and the politicians use to disguise the tribal origin of most of those who profited from the privatisation process in Russia, the term 'Neoconservative' has been used to disguise the fact that about ninety percent of those who forced the second Gulf War upon Iraq and a reluctant world are also Jewish.

As Israeli journalist Ari Shavit told us in the 7th of April, 2004 edition of the Israeli daily journal, Ha'aretz:

"The war in Iraq was conceived by 25 neoconservative intellectuals, most of them Jewish, who are pushing President Bush to change the course of history."
Once you know this, you know on whose behalf Gulf War II was really fought, why our young men were called upon to sacrifice their lives and on whose behalf Blair lied and lied and lied again to the British people.

You'll also know why the politicians, the media darlings and those who pull their strings and pay their real wages, are so desperate to keep most of us from finding such things out.

Before I introduce you to the pre-war thoughts of some of these 'neoconservative intellectuals,' I want you to check out a couple of commentaries. This first is a potted biography of Henry Martin 'Scoop' Jackson, written by Roger Morris, who served on the US National Security Council staff under Presidents Johnson and Nixon.

"It was in national security that Jackson's impact was deepest. The hawks' hawk, he was to the right of many in both parties. Not even the massive retaliation strategy and roving CIA interventions of the Eisenhower '50s were tough enough for him.

Perched on the mighty Armed Services Committee as well as his other bases of power, he went on over the next decade to goad the Kennedy and Johnson administrations, urging the Vietnam War, fatter military budgets, stronger support of Israel in the Middle East and a more aggressive foreign policy. It was then, 40 years ago, that Jackson began to be linked directly, if furtively, to some of the uglier and little-known origins of the war on Iraq in 2003.

Overseeing the CIA's 'black budget' for covert operations and interventions from a subcommittee of Armed Services, he was one of a handful of senators who gave a nod to two US backed coups in Iraq, one in 1963 and again in 1968. Those plots brought Saddam Hussein to power amid bloodbaths in which the CIA, exacting the price for its support, handed Saddam and his Baath Party cohorts lists of supposed anti-U.S. Iraqis to be killed.

The result was the systematic murder of several hundred and as many as several thousand people, in which Saddam himself participated. Whatever the toll, accounts agree that CIA killing lists comprised much of Iraq's young educated elite, doctors, teachers, technicians, lawyers and other professionals as well as military officers and political figures, Iraqis who would not be there to oppose Saddam's growing tyranny over ensuing years or to help rebuild or govern Iraq, as the United States now hopes to do, after the current war.

By 1969, Jackson... coveted the White House and was soon a sharp critic of Nixon's arms control and détente. Added to his cold warring was even greater zeal for Israel, a certainty that the United States should endorse the Israelis' own hard line, absorbing the West Bank after its conquest in the 1967 Middle East War, the long-term subjugation of Palestine and an abiding hostility to Iraq and other Arab states.

As Jackson grew nationally prominent, he attracted the inevitable ambitious staffers and partisans boarding his coattails to advance both their own hawkish views and themselves.

Among them was a recent graduate of the University of Southern California who was fanatic about amassing and projecting US power, especially on behalf of Israel... The young Richard Perle became Jackson's chief assistant from 1969 to 1980.

I saw these origins first hand working in the Senate in the early '70s after resigning from Henry Kissinger's National Security Council staff over the invasion of Cambodia... in the '70s, a more worldly post-Vietnam moderation and sensibility in the leadership of both parties appeared to have passed Jackson by, leaving his chauvinism and foreign policy animus marginal, sometimes looking a bit crazed.

As for Perle... the too-hungry, too-sly and too-toadying aide familiar in bureaucracies public and private. His views were patently uninformed, and he wore his conference-room warrior's zealotry no more gracefully than his expensive blue pinstriped suits.

It seemed obvious that the bellicose policies he and Jackson embodied were not only wrong for America but would also usher Israel into ruinous isolation... 'Scoop' and Co. would remain, I 'assumed, an extremist fringe. How wrong I was.

Jackson, of course, never got the White House. (Even) with big pro-Israeli money... he lost the presidential nomination in 1976 to Jimmy Carter...

There was always much less substantively than met the eye in the lavishly financed and much-propagandised neoconservative cabal taking power under President Reagan, and now again under George W. Bush.... its throwback foreign policy was, and is... the red, white and blue, Israel-first, bombs-away dawn of an old era.
For his part, Perle missed a long-coveted chance to make presidential policy when Jackson stumbled in 1976. But... he cultivated the media, courted politicians in both parties and used old allies in the politically potent pro-Israeli and military-industrial lobbies. By the Reagan '80s, he was an Assistant Secretary of Defence...

On the way up, Perle gathered his own disciples, Deputy Secretary of Defence Paul Wolfowitz, Under-Secretary of Defence for Policy, Douglas Feith and others who would go on themselves in similar fashion to become key officials in the current administration.

Like Perle, who was appointed to chair the administration's influential Defese Policy Board, they're all longtime advocates, years before the Sept. 11 attacks, of pre-emptive American military invasions in Iraq and elsewhere and of implicit, if not open, support for the expansionist and repressive policies of their right-wing counterparts in Israel...

Their concerted influence was decisive in going to war in Iraq... Perle has drawn notoriety lately not only for his intimate ties to Israel but also for his connections to companies standing to profit obscenely from the war he's mongered.

When Michigan Congressman John Conyers Jr. and Sen. Carl Levin began to prod Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld about the disreputable dealings, Perle angrily resigned March 27 from the chairmanship of the board, though he continues to sit as a full-fledged member of the pivotal body".
In December, 2002, the renowned documentary maker, John Pilger, had this to say about Perle:

"One of George W Bush's 'thinkers' is Richard Perle. I interviewed Perle when he was advising Reagan; and when he spoke about 'total war', I mistakenly dismissed him as mad. He recently used the term again in describing America's 'war on terror'.... 'This is total war. We are fighting a variety of enemies. There are lots of them out there. All this talk about first we are going to do Afghanistan, then we will do Iraq... This is entirely the wrong way to go about it.

If we just let our vision of the world go forth, and we embrace it entirely and we don't try to piece together clever diplomacy, but just wage a total war... our children will sing great songs about us years from now.'

Perle is one of the founders of the Project for the New American Century, the PNAC. Other founders include Dick Cheney, now vice-president, Donald Rumsfeld, defence secretary, Paul Wolfowitz, deputy defence secretary, I Lewis Libby, Cheney's chief of staff... These are the modern chartists of American terrorism.

The PNAC's seminal report, Rebuilding America's Defences: strategy, forces and resources for a new century, was a blueprint of American aims in all but name. Two years ago it recommended an increase in arms-spending by $48bn so that Washington could 'fight and win multiple, simultaneous major theatre wars'. This has happened. It said the US should develop 'bunker-buster' nuclear weapons and make 'star wars' a national priority. This is happening. It said that, in the event of Bush taking power, Iraq should be a target. And so it is...

As for Iraq's alleged 'weapons of mass destruction', these were dismissed, in so many words, as a convenient excuse...

On the morning of 12 September 2001, without any evidence of who the hijackers were, Rumsfeld demanded that the US attack Iraq... Rumsfeld told a cabinet meeting that Iraq should be 'a principal target of the first round in the war against terrorism'. Iraq was temporarily spared only because Colin Powell, the secretary of state, persuaded Bush that 'public opinion has to be prepared before a move against Iraq is possible'.

Afghanistan was chosen as the softer option. If Jonathan Steele's estimate in the Guardian is correct, some 20,000 people in Afghanistan paid the price of this debate with their lives... In the Los Angeles Times, the military analyst William Arkin describes a secret army set up by Donald Rumsfeld, similar to those run by Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger...

According to a classified document prepared for Rumsfeld, the new organisation, known by its Orwellian moniker as the Proactive Pre-emptive Operations Group, or P2OG, will provoke terrorist attacks which would then require 'counter-attack' by the United States on countries 'harbouring the terrorists'.

In other words, innocent people will be killed by the United States. This is reminiscent of Operation Northwoods, the plan put to President Kennedy by his military chiefs for a phoney terrorist campaign - complete with bombings, hijackings, plane crashes and dead Americans - as justification for an invasion of Cuba. Kennedy rejected it.

He was assassinated a few months later. Now Rumsfeld has resurrected Northwoods, but with resources undreamt of in 1963 and with no global rival to invite caution. You have to keep reminding yourself this is not fantasy: that truly dangerous men, such as Perle and Rumsfeld and Cheney, have power. The thread running through their ruminations is the importance of the media: 'the prioritised task of bringing on board journalists of repute to accept our position'. 'Our position' is code for lying.

Certainly, as a journalist, I have never known official lying to be more pervasive than today. We may laugh at the vacuities in Tony Blair's 'Iraq dossier' and Jack Straw's inept lie that Iraq has developed a nuclear bomb, but the more insidious lies, justifying an unprovoked attack on Iraq and linking it to would-be terrorists who are said to lurk in every Tube station, are routinely channelled as news. They are not news; they are black propaganda."
In 1983, Perle received substantial payments to represent the interests of the Israeli weapons conglomerate, Soltam, after he had assumed his position in the Defence Department.

After FBI wiretaps overheard Perle providing classified information from the National Security Council to the Israeli embassy, he denied conflict of interest, insisting that, although he received payment, he was between government jobs when he worked for the Israeli firm. Congress deemed him to be lying.

He is a personal friend of Ariel Sharon and a managing partner of Trireme, a major defence contractor and venture capital company. He also served on the board of Hollinger International, the company which owns The Telegraph and many other media outlets. (Henry Kissinger is also a Trireme advisor and a board member of Hollinger.)

Perle was investigated in 1980s for possible ties to Jonathan Pollard, an American Jew who was caught spying in the US for Israel.

Here are some of the things that Bush's leading Foreign Policy Advisor at the time of 9/11, has said:

"The President of the United States, on issue after issue, has reflected the thinking of neoconservatives."
"I very much favour going after Saddam Hussein's regime and Saddam Hussein... he hates the United States. He has weapons of mass destruction... he will use them against us."
"I absolutely believe in assassinations. I have always thought an absolute prohibition was unnecessarily inflexible."
"We are going to have to take the war... to other people's territory... all of the norms of international order make it difficult to do that. So the President has to reshape fundamental attitudes toward those norms."
On 26 September 2001. The Guardian described Paul Wolfowitz thus:

"Wolfowitz's admirers and detractors agree on one thing, 'hawk' is too timid a description of the outspoken deputy Defence secretary trying to persuade President Bush to bomb Iraq.

Since that disastrous morning, (9/11) he has been a major player, often overshadowing his boss, Donald Rumsfeld, as the leading proponent of a wider war against suspected state sponsors of terrorism, particularly Iraq.

Three days after the attack, Wolfowitz described the US military mission as follows: 'It's not just a matter of capturing people and holding them accountable, but removing the sanctuaries, removing the support systems, ending states who sponsor terrorism'."
Wolfowitz has said:

"The United States of America will use all our resources to conquer this enemy. We will rally the world... We are in a different era. I think the President has made that clear. The secretary of Defence has made that clear. Everything is going to change."
"A victory over terrorism... will make the world safer for Israel... We are not going just to pluck off individual snakes; we intend to drain the entire swamp."
"Give war a chance."
The aforementioned Douglas Feith, Bush's Undersecretary of Defence, has said:

"We discussed... those countries that have dangerous and irresponsible regimes that are pursuing weapons of mass destruction... The danger comes together in an especially acute form in the regime in Iraq...

Our closest allies and friends around the world are democracies and democratic governments are... difficult to deal with because they're democratic and they have to answer to their people...

It complicates life in all kinds of ways when you have to deal with the public... the time has come for the Iraqi regime to co-operatively comply with its international obligations, or to be compelled to do so."
"The international community is focused on the danger that Iraqi chemical and biological weapons pose and the danger that the Iraqis might soon, if left alone, acquire nuclear weapons."
Lewis Libby is Vice President Cheney's Chief of Staff. He, along with Wolfowitz, wrote the 1992 document for Dick Cheney, which laid out the plans for the 'New American Century.'

Here are a couple of their suggestions from the first and second drafts of Defence Policy Guidance:

"The US must show the leadership necessary to establish and protect a new order... we must account sufficiently for the interests of the advanced industrial nations to discourage them from challenging our leadership or seeking to overturn the established political and economic order. We must maintain the mechanism for deterring potential competitors from even aspiring to a larger regional or global role...

In the Middle East and Southwest Asia, our overall objective is to remain the predominant outside power in the region and preserve US and Western access to the region's oil." "Our most fundamental goal is to... preclude any hostile power from dominating a region critical to our interests... In the Middle East and Persian Gulf, we seek to foster regional stability, deter aggression against our friends and interests in the region... and safeguard our access... to the region's oil.

The United States is committed to the security of Israel and to maintaining the qualitative edge that is critical to Israel's security."
On 1 April 2002, Libby was quoted thus by The New Yorker Magazine:

"We believe in expanding the zone of democracy even in this difficult part of the world... The issue is the Iraqis' promise not to have weapons of mass destruction... There is no basis in Iraq's past behavior to have confidence in good faith efforts on their part to change their behavior."
On 28 October 2005, the BBC reported thus:

"A top aide to the US vice-president has resigned after being charged with perjury over an investigation into the unmasking of a covert CIA agent.

Lewis Libby, chief-of-staff to Dick Cheney, was also charged with obstruction of justice and making false statements to a federal grand jury...

The identity of CIA agent Valerie Plame - whose husband criticised the Iraq war - was leaked to a US reporter in 2003...

Special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald has accused Mr Libby of lying to investigators about how and when he learned and disclosed to reporters classified information about Ms Plame. If found guilty on all five counts in the indictment, Mr Libby, 55, faces a maximum of 30 years in prison and a $1.25m (£705,000) fine for each charge...

Setting out the evidence at a news conference, Mr Fitzgerald alleged Mr Libby had deliberately misled the FBI over his conversations with reporters about Ms Plame. 'At the end of the day, what appears is that Mr Libby's story, that he was at the tail end of a chain of phone calls, passing on from one reporter what he heard from another, was not true - it was false...

He was at the beginning of the chain of the phone calls, the first official to disclose this information outside the government, to a reporter. And he lied about it afterwards, under oath, and repeatedly'... The disclosure had not only damaged Ms Plame but also compromised US national security, he said.

Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid said the bigger picture was 'about how the Bush White House manufactured and manipulated intelligence in order to bolster its case for the war in Iraq and to discredit anyone who dared to challenge the president'.

Ms Plame's identity was leaked after her husband, diplomat Joseph Wilson, accused the Bush administration of manipulating intelligence to support military action against Iraq. Mr Wilson says it was done to undermine his credibility. Others have raised the possibility that it was a form of payback for her husband's criticism."
On 17 January 2004, Vanity Fair had, previously, informed us thus:

"Wilson is a retired American diplomat who wrote a July 6 piece for The New York Times that told of his February, 2002, fact-finding mission to Niger, taken at the behest of the C.I.A. His mission was to verify or disprove an intelligence report that Saddam Hussein had attempted to buy from Niger 'yellowcake,' a uranium ore, which can be used to make fissionable material. The information that Saddam did try to buy it found its way into President Bush's 2003 State of the Union address...

But, on his trip, Wilson had found no evidence to substantiate the president's assertion. His New York Times piece was titled 'What I Didn't Find in Africa.' Had he been wrong? Or had his information been ignored because it did not fit with the government's preconceptions about Iraq? On the Sunday his piece ran in the Times, Wilson appeared on NBC's Meet the Press to discuss it...

Officially, National-Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice admitted that the sentence should not have been in the president's speech, because the intelligence on which it was based was not good enough, and C.I.A. director George Tenet took the blame, saying that he was 'responsible for the approval process in my agency.'

But then he added that the C.I.A. had warned the National Security Council that the intelligence was dubious... Still, the administration could argue and did that, technically, none of the words in the speech were actually inaccurate, because it cited British intelligence as the source...
On July 14, Robert Novak wrote that... 'two senior administration officials' told him that Wilson had been sent to Africa only because his wife of five years, Valerie Plame, an 'agency operative on weapons of mass destruction,' had suggested to her bosses that he go...

On July 22 Newsday... reported that... Plame was an 'undercover officer.' In fact, she had noc status, that is, nonofficial cover... Mostly they operate abroad, frequently using fake job descriptions and sometimes fake names.

According to a former senior C.I.A. officer, to blend in they often have to work two jobs: that of their 'cover' and that involving their C.I.A. duties, which usually consists of handling foreign agents in the field, but can also involve recruiting them.

Nocs have no diplomatic protection and so are vulnerable to hostile regimes that can imprison or execute them without official repercussions. A noc's only real defense is his or her cover, which can take years to build. Because of this vulnerability, a noc's identity is considered within the C.I.A. to be, as former C.I.A. analyst Kenneth Pollack has put it, 'the holiest of holies.'

And, according to the Intelligence Identities Protection Act of 1982, leaking the name of an undercover agent is also a federal crime, punishable by up to 10 years in prison".
On 29 September 2005, New York Times reporter, Judith Miller, was released from prison. She had earlier been jailed for contempt of court for refusing to identify who her big shot 'confidential sources' were. However, she was freed after Libby provided prosecutors with a waiver allowing her to answer their questions without prejudice to her reputation or integrity. Libby allowed Miller to stew in prison for 88 days before he did, or was persuaded to do, the right thing.

Robert Novak, the reporter who 'outed' Valerie Plame, after being tipped off by Libby, is also Jewish.

Outside of politics, Libby was the lawyer of the Jewish fraudster Mark Rich, who stole $billions from the US government and sold arms to Iran when US hostages were being held in that country.

When his crimes were discovered and he was indicted and bailed to stand trial on racketeering, income tax evasion and illegal oil trading charges, he fled to Switzerland.

After much lobbying by the Jews in general and the ADL and Libby in particular, Bill Clinton used his Presidential powers to have him pardoned. His was one of 140 pardons that Clinton granted in his last hours in office. Most of the other criminals pardoned at this time were also white collar, Jewish fraudsters.

Rich, who has extensive and provable links with the Russian Mafia, bankrolled Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon extensively, before his election to the top job in Israel and since.

Hilary Clinton was strongly supported by New York's Jews in her successful attempt to win the New York Senatorial seat.

The document, A New Israeli Strategy Toward 2000, was prepared for the incoming Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu in July 1996, by eight 'American' advisors, seven years before the second invasion of Iraq. The Jews, Richard Perle, Douglas Feith, David Wurmser and his wife Meyrav were the leading lights on the team. This document stated:

"Israel can... destabilize, and roll-back some of its most dangerous threats... Change the nature of its relations with the Palestinians, including upholding the right of hot pursuit for self Defence into all Palestinian areas...

An effective approach, and one with which American can sympathize, would be if Israel seized the strategic initiative along its northern borders by engaging Hizballah, Syria, and Iran... striking Syrian military targets in Lebanon, and should that prove insufficient, striking at select targets in Syria proper...

This effort can focus on removing Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq, an important Israeli strategic objective in its own right... it would be understandable that Israel has an interest in supporting the Hashemites in their efforts to redefine Iraq...

Israel's efforts to secure its streets may require hot pursuit into Palestinian-controlled areas... Israel will not only contain its foes; it will transcend them... Israel's new agenda can signal a clean break by... re-establishing the principle of pre-emption, rather than retaliation alone...

Ultimately, Israel can do more than simply manage the Arab-Israeli conflict though war... it will no longer simply manage the Arab-Israeli conflict; it will transcend it."
The use of the word 'pre-emption' preceded its use by the Bush administration by almost six years.

The 8 September 2002, edition of Executive Intelligence Review informed us thus:

"On July 8, 1996, Richard Perle, now the Chairman of the Defense Policy Board, an advisory group that reports to Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz, presented a written document to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, spelling out a new Israeli foreign policy, calling for a repudiation of the Oslo Accords and the underlying concept of 'land for peace,' for the permanent annexation of the entire West Bank and Gaza Strip; and for the elimination of the Saddam Hussein regime in Baghdad, as a first step towards overthrowing or destabilizing the governments of Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Iran.

The document was prepared for the Jerusalem and Washington, D.C.-based Institute for Advanced Strategic and Political Studies... The report was co-authored by Perle; Douglas Feith, currently the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Policy; David Wurmser, currently special assistant to State Department chief arms control negotiator John Bolton; and Meyrav Wurmser, now director of Mideast Policy at the Hudson Institute...
Beginning in February 1998, the British government of Prime Minister Tony Blair launched a concerted effort, in league with the Netanyahu government in Israel, and the Perle Israeli... networks inside the United States, to induce President William Clinton to launch a war against Iraq, under precisely the terms spelled out for Netanyahu in the 'Clean Break' paper. The war was to be launched, ostensibly, over Iraq's possession of 'weapons of mass destruction".

"Established in the spring of 1997, the PROJECT FOR THE NEW AMERICAN CENTURY is a non-profit, educational organization whose goal is to promote American global leadership.

The Project is an initiative of the New Citizenship Project. William Kristol is chairman of the Project, and Robert Kagan, Devon Gaffney Cross... and John R. Bolton serve as directors. Gary Schmitt is executive director of the Project...

What we require is a military that is strong and ready to meet both present and future challenges; a foreign policy that boldly and purposefully promotes American principles abroad; and national leadership that accepts the United States' global responsibilities...

The Defense Policy Guidance drafted in the early months of 1992 provided a blueprint for maintaining U.S. pre-eminence... and shaping the international security order in line with American principles and interests... This report proceeds from the belief that America should seek to preserve and extend its position of global leadership by maintaining the pre-eminence of U.S. military forces... conventional warfare remains a viable way for aggressive states to seek major changes in the international order...

Over the long term, Iran may well prove as large a threat to US interests in the Gulf as Iraq has... a permanent unit should be based in the Persian Gulf region... To preserve American military pre-eminence in the coming decades, the Department of Defense must move more aggressively to experiment with new technologies and operational concepts...

The process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, ABSENT SOME CATASROPHIC AND CATALYZING EVENT - LIKE A NEW PEARL HARBOUR...

We cannot allow North Korea, Iran, Iraq or similar states to undermine American leadership."
Wolfowitz, Libby, William Kristol, John Bolton, Eliot Cohen, Devon Gaffney, Donald Kagan, Fred Kagan, Robert Kagan, Gary Schmitt and Rabbi Dov Zakheim all signed the above document . Most of these Jewish neoconservatives would take high office in the Bush government four years later.

On 19 February 1998, 3 years and 7 months before the attack on the World Trade Centre provided them with both the catalyst and the excuse for their views to become fashionable, an organisation calling itself The Committee For Peace And Security In The Gulf sent the following letter to Bill Clinton:

"Dear Mr. President, many of us were involved in organizing the Committee for Peace and Security in the Gulf in 1990 to support President Bush's policy of expelling Saddam Hussein from Kuwait...

Saddam Hussein has been able to develop biological and chemical munitions... Only a determined program to change the regime in Baghdad will bring the Iraqi crisis to a satisfactory conclusion. For years, the United States has tried to remove Saddam by encouraging coups and internal conspiracies. These attempts have all failed...

Saddam must be overpowered... We believe that the problem is... the continued existence of the regime itself. What is needed now is a comprehensive political and military strategy for bringing down Saddam and his regime...

We believe... that strong American action against Saddam is overwhelmingly in the national interest, that it must be supported, and that it must succeed...

We are confident that were you to launch an initiative along these lines, the Congress and the country would see it as a timely and justifiable response to Iraq's continued intransigence.

We urge you to provide the leadership necessary to save ourselves and the world from the scourge of Saddam and the weapons of mass destruction that he refuses to relinquish."
Among those who signed this letter were: Perle, Wolfowitz; Feith; Kristol; Bolton; Zakheim; Schmitt; Robert Kagan; Elliott Abrams; Frank Gaffney; Jeffrey Gedmin; Fred C. Ikle; David Wurmser; Peter Rodman; Michael Ledeen; Martin Peretz; Congessman Stephen Solarz: Jeffrey T. Bergner;Paula J. Dobriansky; Bernard Lewis; Joshua Muravchik; Max Singer and Leon Wienseltier.

All of these are Jewish and most of them would serve in George W. Bush's administration.

On 29 May 1998, the PROJECT FOR THE NEW AMERICAN CENTURY sent the following letter to Newt Gingrich, Speaker of the House and Trent Lott, Senate Majority Leader.

"Dear Mr. Speaker and Senator Lott, on January 26, we sent a letter to President Clinton... we argued that the only way to protect the United States and its allies from the threat of weapons of mass destruction was to put in place policies that would lead to the removal of Saddam and his regime from power...

Even if the administration is able to block Security Council efforts to lift sanctions on Iraq this year, the massive expansion of the so-called 'oil for food' program will have the effect of overturning the sanctions regime... The administration will have unnecessarily put at risk US troops in the Persian Gulf, who will be vulnerable to attack by biological, chemical, and nuclear weapons under Saddam Hussein's control.

Our friends and allies in the Middle East and Europe will soon be subject to forms of intimidation by an Iraqi government bent on dominating the Middle East and its oil reserves; and, as a consequence of the administration's failure, those nations living under the threat of Saddam's weapons of mass destruction can be expected to adopt policies of accommodation toward Saddam... US policy should have as its explicit goal removing Saddam Hussein's regime from power...

Only the US can lead the way in demonstrating that his rule is not legitimate and that time is not on the side of his regime... Saddam's continued rule in Iraq is neither inevitable nor likely if we pursue the policy outlined above in a serious and sustained fashion."
Perle, Wolfowitz, Kristol, Bolton, Abrams, Rodman, Robert Kagan and Robert B. Zoellick and all signed this, as did George W. Bush's future Defence Secretary, Donald Rumsfeld.

On 14 October 2001, a month after the attack on the World Trade Centre, The Observer quoted an unnamed US Administration Official as saying:

"We see this war as one against the virus of terrorism. If you have bone marrow cancer, it's not enough to just cut off the patient's foot. You have to do the complete course of chemotherapy. And if that means embarking on the next Hundred Years' War, that's what we're doing."
The Observer described the Administration Officials as being, 'close to the Defence Policy Advisory Board.'

Which was headed by Richard Perle.

On 26 September 2001, USA Today reported thus:

"Whose war is this? Bush has been put on notice that this war cannot end with the head of bin Laden and the overthrow of the Taliban.

The shot across Bush's bow came in an 'Open Letter' co-signed by 41 foreign-policy scholars... essentially, the entire neoconservative establishment... Failure to attack Iraq, the neocons warn Bush, 'will constitute an early and perhaps decisive surrender in the war on international terrorism.'

'Our purpose in writing is to assure you of our support as you do what must be done to lead the nation to victory in this fight,' the letter ends.

Implied is a threat to end support if Bush does not widen the war to include all of Israel's enemies... Among the signers is Richard Perle, chairman of Bush's own Defense Policy Board, a key advisory group. This letter represents one side of a brutal policy battle that has erupted in the capital: Is it to be Powell's war or Perle's war?

As of now, Bush is laser-focused on bin Laden and the Taliban. But when that war is over... Do we then reverse alliances and make Israel's war America's war?

The war Netanyahu and the neocons want, with the United States and Israel fighting all of the radical Islamic states, is the war bin Laden wants, the war his murderers hoped to ignite when they sent those airliners into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon."
On 3 April 2002, one year before the invasion of Iraq, the PROJECT FOR THE NEW AMERICAN CENTURY sent the following letter to George W. Bush:

"Dear Mr. President. No one should doubt that the United States and Israel share a common enemy. We are both targets of what you have correctly called an 'Axis of Evil.'

Israel is targeted in part because it is our friend, and in part because it is an island of liberal, democratic principles, American principles, in a sea of tyranny, intolerance, and hatred. As Secretary of Defence Rumsfeld has pointed out, Iran, Iraq, and Syria are all engaged in 'inspiring and financing a culture of political murder and suicide bombing' against Israel, just as they have aided campaigns of terrorism against the United States over the past two decades.

You have declared war on international terrorism, Mr. President. Israel is fighting the same war...

The United States should lend its full support to Israel as it seeks to root out the terrorist network that daily threatens the lives of Israeli citizens. Like our own efforts in Afghanistan and elsewhere, Israel's task will not be easy. It will not be accomplished quickly or painlessly. But with fortitude, on our part as well on the part of the Israeli people, it can succeed in significantly reducing the risk of future terrorist attacks against Israel and against us...

Every day that Saddam Hussein remains in power brings closer the day when terrorists will have not just airplanes with which to attack us, but chemical, biological, or nuclear weapons, as well. It is now common knowledge that Saddam, along with Iran, is a funder and supporter of terrorism against Israel. Iraq has harbored terrorists such as Abu Nidal in the past, and it maintains links to the Al Qaeda network.

If we do not move against Saddam Hussein and his regime, the damage our Israeli friends and we have suffered until now may someday appear but a prelude to much greater horrors... Israel's fight against terrorism is our fight. Israel's victory is an important part of our victory... we need to stand with Israel in its fight against terrorism."
Perle; Kristol; Schmitt; Cohen; Ken Adelman; Frank Gaffney; Donald Kagan; Robert Kagan; Jeffrey Gedmin; Martin Peretz; Daniel Pipes; Reuel Marc Gerecht and Norman Podhoretz, all of whom are Jewish, signed this document.

Apart from Bush, Rumsfeld, Rice, Tenet and Cheney, all of the US Neoconservatives mentioned in this essay are Jewish.

Although all of them were old enough to have fought at some point in Vietnam, not one of them did. EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM DODGED THE DRAFT!

Normally, I would have applauded those who did not fight in that dreadful war. But these? These are no flower children here. They saved their own skins when it was their turn to put their lives on the line. They preferred to see others, less well-connected than themselves, doing the killing and the dying on behalf of the warmongers of the time.

Anyway, if you want to know who the '25 neoconservative intellectuals, most of whom are Jewish" happen to be, perm any 25 from the following Hebraic list:

Richard Perle; Paul Wolfowitz; Douglas Feith; Elliott Abrams; Eliot Cohen; Ari Fleischer; Rabbi Dov S. Zakheim; Fred C. Ikle; Lewis Libby, Robert B. Zoellick; Marc Grossman; David Wurmser; Joshua Bolten; Frank Gaffney; Jeffrey Gedmin; Richard Haass; Peter Rodman; Michael Chertoff; Ken Melman; Otto J. Reich; Brad Blakeman; Martin Indyk; Norman Podhoretz; William Kristol; Reuel Marc Gerecht; Donald Kagan; Fredrick Kagan; Robert Kagan; Charles Krauthammer; Martin Peretz; Gary Schmitt; Mark D. Weinberg; Stephen Friedman; Thomas Friedman, Robert Satloff; Steve Goldsmith; Adam Goldman; Edward Luttwak; Joseph Gildenhorn; Christopher Gersten; Mark Weinberg; Jay Lefkowitz; Samuel Bodman; Bonnie Cohen; Lincoln Bloomfield; Midge Decter; Mel Sembler; Jeffrey T. Bergner; Eric Edelman; Max Singer; John Hannah; Leon Wienseltier; A.M. One or two of the above might describe themselves as Democrat and vote accordingly but, when it comes to Israel, they are always on-message and their hawkish pro-Israeli credentials have always been impeccable.

Al Gore's Vice-Presidential Jewish running mate on the Democratic ticket, Joseph Liebermann was all for war as well, as was New World Order supremo, Henry Kissinger. These are the men and women Tony Blair chose to side with.

Now you know on whose behalf Gulf War II was really fought, now you know why our young men were called upon to sacrifice their lives. Now you know on whose behalf Tony Blair lied and lied and lied again to the British people.

You also know why the politicians, the media darlings and those who pull their strings and pay their real wages, were always so desperate to keep most of us from finding such things out.

A British Prime Minister who would put the insane, genocidal chauvinism of such as Perle and Wolfowitz before the brave, young, English, Scots, Welsh and Irish soldiers who would have to fight and die in their Jewish war, was never a friend of the British people who elected him.

On 16 March 2005, George Bush nominated someone he described as a 'compassionate, decent man' to the Presidency of the World Bank. The UK's Foreign Secretary, Jack Straw, our part-Jewish Foreign Secretary, welcomed the 'distinguished' nomination and said he was looking forward to working with him.

The man Bush nominated to replace James Wolfensohn as head of the World Bank was Paul Wolfowitz.

A few days before Bush put two-fingers up at the world in this way, he foist another Jewish neoconservative upon the United Nations. Thus, John Bolton, a man known to despise the UN, is now the US Ambassador to that organisation.

James Wolfensohn, the outgoing boss of the World Bank, is also Jewish.

The three heaviest Neoconservative bigshots in George W. Bush's adminstration who are not Jewish are, Bush himself, Vice President Dick Cheney and Defence Secretary, Donald Rumsfeld. By now, just about everybody on the planet has to know that the US President is a cross between a smirking chimpanzee and a glove puppet but what about the other two?

Make no mistake, these guys are monsters.

When Dick Cheney was the CEO of Haliburton Oil immediately prior to becoming the Vice President of the USA, he argued for positive changes of US policy towards Iran, as Haliburton was a significant investor in Iranian oil. Haliburton held a major stake in various companies at the forefront of the future reconstruction of Iraq's oil industry before the invasion. The first company to be given a contract for future operations in post-Saddam Iraq was Haliburton.

George Bush himself was suspected of insider trading in respect of stock held in this company. It is interesting to note that Halliburton, through its European subsidiaries, has, over the years, sold spare parts to the Iraqi oil industry, despite UN sanctions.

Far from asking to be compensated when George W. headhunted his daddy's Defence Secretary for the post of VP, Haliburton gave their parting CEO $42,000,000 in severance pay. Don't you just wonder why?

As for Rumsfeld, well, you might think the dark side of his nature has been well and truly exposed by Guantanamo Bay and Abu Graibe but there is more. Oh, yes, the old bloke certainly has form.

Let's digress: David Icke once suggested that he might be the next Jesus Christ. The ridicule he had to endure in the wake of such a doughnut presumption grew him up pretty quickly and, nowadays, he devotes his considerable ego to the extremely worthy task of trying to expose the New World Order's dirty, little doings. If it still suits you to think of him as a bit of a twit, you should remember that he's a reasonably decent one.

Here's part of an article he wrote, titled, Manipulation by The Medical Mafia. The whole essay, along with many more interesting articles, can be found at: www.DavidIcke.com

"Why do you think so many of the most prominent Illuminati, like David Rockefeller (part-Jewish) and Henry Kissinger, are able to jet around the world like 40 year olds when they are both in their 70s? By using the drugs that the Rockefeller pharmaceutical empire turns out for the rest of us? You must be joking. These people know they are causing the death and suffering of billions by their actions....

Their 'medicine' is not designed to make us well in the true sense. Its prime aim is to suppress and dim our thinking processes, and make us subservient to authority. It's like sedating a cow or a sheep so they can be controlled more easily and won't run away when they see the slaughterhouse... One of the weapons is aspartame... It is now used in thousands of foodstuffs and almost every soft drink.

And who are the biggest consumers of soft drinks? Children. They want to get the kids as early as possible and turn them into unthinking, unquestioning clones for life. Aspartame is an 'artificial sweetener' and is marketed as an alternative to the negative effects of sugar... It is known under trade names like NutraSweet, Equal and Spoonful.

Aspartame, which is 200 times sweeter than sugar, was introduced in 1981 and has been the subject of 75% of the complaints reported to the Adverse Reaction Monitoring system of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). These complaints have included headaches, dizziness, attention difficulties, memory loss, slurred speech and vision problems. Such symptoms are now known as 'aspartame disease', just as the effects of the preservative Monosodium Glutamate are called the Glutamate Syndrome.

John W. Olney, MD of the Washington University Medical School in St Louis, believes there may be a link between aspartame and brain tumors.

In an article published in the Journal of Neuropathology and Experimental Neurology, he says that animal studies reveal high levels of brain tumors in aspartame-fed rats. Dr Olney adds that... a sharp rise in malignant brain tumors coincides with the increased use of aspartame.

Even the U.S. Navy and Air Force published articles in Navy Physiology and Flying Safety, warning that: 'Several researchers have found aspartame can increase the frequency of seizures, or lower the stimulation necessary to induce them. This means a pilot who drinks diet sodas is more susceptible to flicker vertigo, or to flicker-induced epileptic activity. It also means that all pilots are potential victims of sudden memory loss, dizziness during instrument flight, and gradual loss of vision'...

Symptoms of multiple sclerosis, chronic fatigue, rheumatoid arthritis, depression and other mood disorders have vanished in many patients after they stopped aspartame consumption. Ten per cent of this legalized poison breaks down after ingestion into methanol, a nervous system toxin also known as free methyl alcohol or wood alcohol...

Methanol is rapidly released into the bloodstream, where it can become the neurotoxin and cancer-causing formaldehyde and formic acid...

The Food and Drug Administration in America... approved its use on the basis of ridiculous data and then had to withdraw that permission in the face of studies showing that it caused seizures and brain tumors in animals. But the FDA restored approval in 1981, despite the unanimous opposition of a Public Board of Inquiry which had reviewed the scientific data and recommended a delay...

The reason this poison was approved against all the evidence is simple corruption. A commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, an acting commissioner, six other operatives, and two attorneys assigned to prosecute NutraSweet for submitting fraudulent tests, left the organization to work for NutraSweet, a trade name for aspartame.

One genuine scientist working for the FDA wrote to a U.S. senator: 'It's like a script for Abbott and Costello. It works like this: 'Approve our poison, and when you stop being a bureaucrat we'll make you a plutocrat! After it's licensed, we'll pay off the American Dietetics, the American Diabetes Association, the American Medical Association and anyone we need who's for sale'.

Coca-Cola knew of the dangers of aspartame because, as a member of the National Soft Drink Association, it opposed the approval by the Food and Drug Administration. Its objections were published in the Congressional Record of July 5th 1985. It said that aspartame was inherently unstable and breaks down in the can, decomposing into formaldehyde, methyl alcohol, formic acid, diketopiperazine and other toxins.

So what is aspartame now doing in Diet Coke, the sales of which soared when it was added because it is so addictive?...

By the way, the Monsanto Corporation... owned NutraSweet and another aspartame product, Equal... It is using the same methods to win approval for genetically-modified food as it did for Aspartame."
So, G.D. Searle was the company which developed the artificial sweetener Aspartame. When, during the Carter administration, news leaked out alleging that G.D. Searle had falsified Aspartame's test results, Congress appropriated sixty million dollars for the prosecution of G.D. Searle's Chairman. However, the Reagan administration closed ranks and prevented the trial of one of their own from taking place.

The Chairman of G.D. Searle at the time was Donald Rumsfeld.

G.D. Searle is a subsidiary of Monsanto Products, the largest genetic engineering company in the world. The US firm, Paradigm Genetics, has been involved in a joint venture with Monsanto to develop genes that could be used to modify the DNA of crops and seeds. Innotech has a 12.4% stake in Paradigm Genetics.

Lord Sainsbury, owner of the supermarket chain and, for some time, Tony Blair's unelected Science Minister, owns Innotech.

Along with Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney and George W. Bush held a major stock portfolio in Enron before its collapse. They sold all their interests in the firm just before it failed and were not, therefore, financially embarassed by the multinational's demise. They lost nothing, ordinary Enron pensioners lost everything.

However, the main reason that our soldiers are now in the Gulf is not to satisfy the greed of such mega-murky businessmen as Rumsfeld, Cheney and Bush. Our soldiers are fighting and dying in the Gulf to see that the only viable threat that Israel and the Jewish lobby in Washington currently perceive to Israel's future security is removed.
